It's been a rather tumultuous few weeks for Carly Pearce, health wise, as she recently shared that she was diagnosed with Pericarditis, which is inflammation of the the sac-like tissue that surrounds the heart.

Pearce had just stepped off of the stage at Good Morning America this morning (June 24), and I got the chance to have some one-on-one time with the "We Don't Even Fight Anymore" singer and asked her for a health update.

Specifically, I asked if this condition was something that was going to affect the singer for life?

"It can definitely can go away," Pearce told Taste of Country Nights. "I'm hoping it goes away. Good Lord, I don't want to affect me forever. It would not be good."

The Grammy Award-winning superstar continued, "But I'm doing a lot better, I think I'm taking all of the necessary steps to make sure that it doesn't come back. But I'm doing good."

Pearce revealed that her Apple Watch stays with her or on her at all times, so she can easily keep up with her current heart-rate.

"I have to keep my heartrate at a certain point, and that includes my daily life and on stage. I just can't push it. And each week, we are kind of doing a trial and error of allowing a little bit more to be had, but just not trying to go from 0 to 100."

Pearce also gave an update on social media sharing some things she's learned from her recent health journey following her diagnosis. She also took the opportunity to thank fans for their prayers.

Don't look for Pearce to slow down too much, as she just released her brand new album, Hummingbird, to-which she hinted a tour is going to announced soon as well.

Pearce also is on tour with Tim McGraw currently.
