Check Out Bass Pro Shops Grand Opening Celebration This Week

Get ready for the biggest grand opening in the Capital Region with Bass Pro Shops in Clifton Park. There are festivities planned for opening day (Wednesday, July 30th), and cool giveaways are also available for days to follow.

Watching the progress of the Bass Pro Shops building has been amazing. Hundreds of workers have been transforming the former Mohawk Chevrolet on Clifton Country Mall Road adjacent to I-87, the Northway.

Bass Pro Shops will open tomorrow (Wednesday, July 30th) with a grand opening celebration. The event, called the “Evening for Conservation,” will feature country singer-songwriter Blaine Holcomb, who’ll kick things off with a live performance at 6 p.m. Several big names in the world of bass fishing are scheduled to appear, including Chris Johnston, Roland Martin, Jimmy Houston, and Kevin VanDam.

It’s more than just a party. During the celebration, 20% of the dollars spent on most items will be donated to local conservation efforts, giving outdoor enthusiasts a way to shop and give back at the same time.

On Thursday, July 31st, according to Bass Pro Shops, the first two hundred customers will receive a Yeti Yonder water bottle. On Friday, August 1st, the Bass Pro Shops trucker hat will be given to the first two hundred customers. On Saturday, August 2nd, the first two hundred customers will receive a five-ounce bag of Johnny Morris steak strips.

The new Clifton Park Bass Pro Shops will be open from 9 am until 9 pm Monday through Saturday and 10 am until 7 pm on Sunday. This 70,000 square foot store has fishing, camping, and outdoor gear, along with boats, and an on-site service center.
