A lot of people love to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a great time to join your friends and share a drink or two, and just have a good time. It’s the time of year when we’re in the middle of any type of major holidays, so it breaks up what seems like a lengthy span of time when there’s not a lot going on. If you’re going out and plan on having a few cocktails, it’s always a good idea to make sure that you’re not driving. Here are five ways that you can avoid driving if you’ve been drinking.

5) Take a bus

If you’re partying in an area that you can take a bus, make sure you know the schedule and what time they stop running.

4) Walking

This could be a little tricky if you’ve had too much to drink. Hopefully, you’ll be able to walk carefully at the end of the celebration.

3) Stay where you are

If you’re at someone’s home, make arrangements to stay there. If you’re at home, this is a no brainer

2) Call a taxi cab

Get a list of phone numbers of a taxi cab company in the area that can take you home. Martin Harding & Mazzotti law firm are offering free cab rides on St. Patrick's Day,  until 2:00 a.m. on Sunday. You can call from your mobile phone - **LAW or **529

1) Have a designated driver

Try to meet up with a friend who won’t be drinking.
