The FBI reports a bomb was found in a backpack Monday morning by three contract workers at a Martin Luther King Day parade in Spokane, Washington.  The backpack was found about a half-hour before the parade was set to start.  A police bomb squad was called in and neutralized the device.

A spokeman for the FBI in Spokane believes the incident was part of domestic terrorism.  A $20,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible for planting the bomb.  Apparently, the bag was a backpack made by Swiss Army.  Not only did it contain the bomb, but also two t-shirts  -- a gray one that reads "Stevens County Relay For Life, 2010" and a black one that says "Treasure Island Spring 2009."

What is America coming to?  We can't go to parades or polictical gatherings anymore without fearing that a bomb or shooter could be in the crowd.  I understand people want to show their support or opposition.  However, inflicting bodily harm to innocent bystanders or supporters is not the answer.  When is this going to end, is my question.  No one deserves to be hurt just because they believe in a cause you don't or support a politician you do not support.  Afterall, this is America-- "the land of the free and the brave."
