Bills Star Surprise

Students in Upstate New York got a Buffalo boost to help them kick off the new year when Bills tight end Dawson Knox sent a surprise video message on Friday morning.

Knox, who had two catches during Sunday night's "instant classic" between the Bills and the Ravens, has been a key receiver for star QB Josh Allen for a few years now, and he's spreading his good energy off the field as well.

His words helped launch his new initiative, “Kick It Up A Knox,” a program designed to promote good attendance, positive behavior, and school pride.

Knox kicked off his campaign at (aptly named) Knox Middle School in Fulton County, according to a press release by school officials.

Staff at Knox Middle Schools say the initiative was developed by Principal Nicole Panton, Dean of Students Tracy Ringer, and special education teacher Karlene Peck.

Panton and Ringer, both lifelong Bills fans, worked with sixth-grade teacher Megan Morreale to connect with the Bills organization, noting the fun coincidence that the school shares Knox’s name.

The video was kept secret for weeks, ensuring maximum excitement when it was revealed.

Strong Year Ahead

On Friday, students were encouraged to wear their favorite team jerseys, and those in Bills gear were given a front-row seat before the surprise message played. Afterward, Ringer reminded students that, just like the Bills, their school community is built on pride, respect, and kindness.

“It’s no coincidence that we are the Bills, and they are the Bills,” Ringer said. “For a professional athlete to think you all are special shows what Bills Mafia is really about.”

Principal Panton added, “These first days are about connection, clear expectations, and building a foundation. With Dawson Knox’s encouragement, we’re set for a strong year.”
