On last night's "American Idol" the rest of the final 24 contestants were choosen. Wednesday's episode was a very emotional one for judge Jennifer Lopez when she sent Chris Medina home.  Medina touched America's hearts with the background on his life and just how much compassion he holds in his heart (read previous blog for more on Chris Medina).

Despite the "to be continued" Wednesday's episode ended with, J-Lo did in fact return to finish out the eliminations of the contestants -- narrowing the search from 40 down to 24.  For complete biographies on the final 24 contestants you can go to www.AmericanIdol.com.  All 24 are pictured so you can match the names to the faces in case they were to hard to remember with 40 previous contestants.

My prediction -- well I have it narrowed down to four or five at least.  I don't typically like to bet this early on in the race.  However, there are many great singers this season so I don't think any of them would be a bad bet.  My money is on Haley Reinhart, Julie Zorrilla, Lauren Alaina, Paul McDonald and Janelle Arthur, but I do like almost all of them so this was a tough call.  Mostly girls, I know, but what I like about a lot the voices of these female singers is they have a lot of soul and originality, naturally.  And with that natural talent (or so it seems to come naturally) you can only improve that rather than make it worse.

It will be interesting to see what next week's epidsode(s) have in store for us viewers.  I think I'll have more of an idea who I'm truly routing for after next week's performances.  Who do you like so far?  Comment below and let me know who your favorites are and why.
