Zac Brown Band Sings the National Anthem at the 2013 BCS Title Game

Last night in the 2013 BCS title game between Alabama and Notre Dame, the Zac Brown Band kicked off the event with the national anthem.  A lot of times, I feel like musicians and artists try to reinvent the anthem and change it – which ends up ruining it.  Zac Brown’s rendition of our national anthem was respectful and well done.

Four of seven of the Zac Brown Band’s members participated in the national anthem, including Zac Brown, Johnny Hopkins, Jimmy De Martini and Clay Cook.

Avinash Kunnath wrote about the anthem on SBNation.com and mentioned “other than a lack of harmony, it was pretty good”.  I thought the harmonies were great!  What do you think?
