New York lawmakers are working on legislation to allow alcohol sales before Noon on Sundays.

Currently, restaurants can serve booze starting at 8am everyday except Sunday, when sales can start at Noon. According to News 10, legislators are trying to change this law by the end of their June session so alcohol can be served 7 days a week starting at 8am.

This will be great for patrons who want to enjoy a mimosa or bloody mary with their Sunday brunch, and a great revenue opportunity for the businesses serving brunch.

This is definitely one of those old school laws that doesn't make much sense anymore. And honestly, Sunday is actually the one day when most of us can actually enjoy am adult beverage before Noon. I mean outside of vacations, when else are you imbibing on a weekday? It's another instance to lawmakers getting it right!
