WWE Announcer ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund Dead at 76

If you grew up watching WWF and WWE, you know 'Mean' Gene is synonymous with wrestling.

Gene Okerlund, who has been a WWF and WWE announcer for years, has passed away at the age of 76, according to the WWE.

Gene was simply as legendary as the wrestlers he was interviewing right? And if you grew up watching Gene or are a big fan of the WWE fan I am sure you loved watching Gene and his work. Looking back, I remember all those Wrestelmania's years ago and the interviews with Hulk Hogan and Macho Man and all the stars of that era. Gene and his persona were just as big and important part of those events as the characters in the ring.
