Parents want to trust their kids are being watched at daycare - mostly because that's what daycare is for. Not the case for one woman in upstate New York who has lost her license after local media discovered she was leaving the kids alone so she could head to McDonald's.

Shelly Sick runs was running a daycare in Dansville, NY (in the Southern Tier) when local media received a tip that she was leaving the kids unattended. When police showed up they did in fact find children ranging from ages seven months to three years old at her house, with Shelly nowhere to be found. She has operated the daycare for 13 years, but won't be doing so any longer. Police charged her with seven counts of child endangerment. They also charged her with misleading authorities for apparently lying about the number of children in her care.
