A Stillwater woman was arrested after she allegedly created a disturbance after she went into her neighbor’s apartment by kicking in the door, and then started to shout at the neighbor.

When Stillwater Police responded to the scene of the incident at the apartment complex, the suspect, 27-year-old Kathryn Garcia was already gone. Garcia’s whereabouts were discovered by authorities a short time later. She was found not far from where the incident happened.

According to the story from News 10 ABC, Stillwater Police reported that when they got to Garcia, she allegedly started to give them a hard time by struggling with them as an effort to avoid getting arrested. Garcia’s efforts proved unsuccessful. She was finally taken into custody.

Garcia ended up with several charges including Criminal Trespass in the second degree, Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest. Garcia was released after she was processed in Stillwater Town Court, but she still may be prosecuted.

Four local police agencies worked together on this incident - Stillwater Police, Mechanicville Police, New York State Troopers and The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. They are still investigating the incident.
