In 2006, Willie Nelson was arrested in Louisiana when cops confiscated 1.5 pounds of marijuana. Willie plead guilty and was released with a small fine of $1,024. Now, Willie is busted again!

Willie Nelson is free on $2,500 bond after being charged for possession of six ounces of marijuana found aboard his tour bus Friday morning (Nov. 26) in West Texas. Nelson was traveling from California to his home near Austin when his bus pulled into a routine checkpoint operated by the U.S. Border Patrol in Sierra Blanca, Texas. Nelson, a co-chair of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) advisory board, told authorities the marijuana was his. If convicted of the possession charge, he could be sentenced to 180 days in the Hudspeth County jail. Following the arrest, Mickey Raphael, Nelson's longtime harmonica player, said the Country Music Hall of Fame member was in good spirits. "He said he feels great -- he lost six ounces," Raphael told Rolling Stone.

Am I the only one that thinks that this is not that big a deal, considering how many great things Willie Nelson has done to make this world a better place?  From Farm Aid to Bio Willie to Human Rights to Helping Horses from being slaughtered to rescueing animals lost in Hurricane Katrina.  Maybe he needs this "wacky weed" to give him the super powers to do things that so many politicians don't, or perhaps I've just been smoking too much myself!
