Why Is He Talking To His Ex, When He Knows It Bothers Me – Daily Dilemma

Here is today's dilemma:

I have been dating my current boyfriend for 3 years. Last month, he told me that his ex girlfriend called him and asked him to get together and talk. He met her. He told me it was a one time meeting, she needed help with a family issue going on. He explained to me that he was close with her family, so it made sense to him. I told him I was not comfortable with this and he said he would no longer get together with her.

Recently, I found out he has been talking to her over face book. When I asked him about it, he said hes just trying to help her through a tough time.

I don’t like that he is hiding this from me, but he won’t seem to cut ties with her even though he told me he would. I think I should cut ties with him? Am I wrong?
