Where To Get Your Christmas Tree – Tree Farms & Holiday Fun In The Capital Region

It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas Season has officially begun!

Over the last couple of days, I have received some messages asking me where to go to find that perfect tree.  Well, ask and you shall receive!

As a fan of having a real Christmas tree, I love that I live here in the Capital Region as we have so many great tree farms!  These local places are so much more than tree farms though.  There are so many activities offered for kids, including Santa and even some reindeer!

Ellms Family Farms opened their tree farm this weekend.  When you buy a tree there you also receive    Complimentary hot chocolate for the family, Trolley rides, Tree shaking, baling, and drilling, if needed!  They are also pet friendly, so bring the dog!!

Bob's Trees & Tree Haven Trails, Inc. opened this weekend for trees.  They also have lots of activities planned for the holiday season.  December 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 11^th SANTA will be there!  Bring a camera!  Two of Santa’s reindeer visit Bob’s Trees through December 19^th.

Majestic Tree Farm in Selkirk is open!  They are a choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm, and on weekends, there are freshly-baked cookies and hot mulled cider for all customers!

Weathered Willow Tree Farm located in Altamont is open!  They are a choose and cut tree farm that also features a gift shop, wagon rides, door prizes for children and wreaths.
