What Does Daft Punk Really Look Like?

Are there really men behind those masks?  I wondered, along with all of America last night, who is under there?  Why do they have masks on?  Why aren't they even talking to make an acceptance speech?

Well, turns out, they are real men, they are from France, and they simply prefer to let their music speak for itself.

They are comprised of Thomas Bengalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.

In a rare interview with canoe.ca, one-half of Daft Punk, Thomas Bangalter, reveals why they might be "hiding":

“We don’t believe in the star system. We want the focus to be on the music. If we have to create an image, it must be an artificial image. That combination hides our physicality and also shows our view of the star system. It is not a compromise.”
