WGNA Raises Over $30,000 For The Red Cross to Help Local Irene Victims
First and foremost we have to say THANK YOU to you, our dedicated and incredibly generous listeners. Without your dedication and support we would have never raised the $30,000 (and counting) for the Red Cross to use to help out victims of Irene in the Albany area and surrounding communities. Your outpouring of support at our 24 hour broadcast from Crossgates Mall, on our Facebook page, and on the phone has been overwhelming and amazing. Sean, Richie, Levack, and Casey all sacrificed their time to essentially live at the mall and stay on the air – and you made sacrifices too. We can’t say thank you enough. We’ve heard so many stories of people being impacted by this disaster – Lou even put them all together into a touching song that’s hard to hear without crying. If you were unable to make it to the mall to donate, please visit the website for the Red Cross of Northeastern New York and click on the donate button – put in a local zip code too so you can ensure you donation will help local folks.
