WGNA Goes ‘Over The Edge’ Friday to help Special Olympics New York
It’s the most interesting fundraiser I have ever seen! People donate to go “over the edge” of the Crowne Plaza hotel.
Approximately 100 people will rappel 18 stories down the State Street wall of the Crowne Plaza Albany. Each participant will be required to raise a minimum of $1,000 to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity. The chance to rappel is completely exclusive and can only be done in this area through Special Olympics New York! Our goal is to raise $100,000 for athletes across the State.
WGNA’s Casey Danton is participating in the event, and I’ll stay on the ground to cover all the action live on Friday, September 16. Last year, I interviewed a Special Olympics’ athlete who explained why this event is so important. Listen to the inspirational words of Kevin Brown-
Everyone is welcome to come and watch the rappel free, eat lunch and listen to great live music from 9am-6pm on Friday, September 16.
