A Rensselaer County Sheriff's Department Deputy had noticed that something strange was going on at a home is West Sand Lake.

That started an investigation that lasted about three months. The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department’s investigation paid off. After they had enough evidence and information, they went to the home in West Sand Lake. When they did, they found 96 marijuana plants and 50 pounds of pot.

The suspect, 26-year-old Cameron Conery, was arrested. With the alleged marijuana growing operation, he is facing charges for growing the pot plants. According to the story from WNYT, authorities believe that the value of the marijuana was worth more than $40,000 dollars.
