Were You Affected by This Yesterday?
Yesterday some areas of the Capital Region saw some pretty extreme conditions appear. Did you encounter any of it?
Many yesterday around the area saw some major issues happen in their travel home from work. Very high and fast pockets of wind blustered through parts of Rensselaer and Columbia Counties. Having done the afternoon traffic reports for quite a while I have never had it where I thought to myself, why are there so many downed trees? Incidents were popping up like wildfire. It was mainly odd in my mind because in Schenectady I would look out the window and say, the weather is gloomy but not drastic.

At one point yesterday some 10,000 residents of the Capital Region were left without power due to the devastation of the high gusts of wind according to CBS 6. Did you see this issue where you live or on your commute yesterday? I personally am amazed at the video below and seeing trees either snapping at their base or being ripped out of the ground roots and all.
