Waterevliet Area Was Without Power This Morning

Flickr jar 0

Hey, who turned out the lights in Watervliet this morning. There were probably quite a few folks who got up late when their alarm clocks didn’t go off.According to News 10 about 3,500 National Grid customers were without power from about 1:45 to 9:930 this morning. Why did the power go out? A critter got into the substation and damages some equipment. Sadly Mac’s Drive In had all of their ice cream melt and run out of the freezers and the temps in the building were in the 90′s. That had to bew quite a mess, and a costly one at that.
