Google's self driving cars are fascinating pieces of technology.  But then again, they're computers on wheels.  Do you think they are all they are cracked up to be?  Actually, I just made a pun and didn't know it.

You see - Google cars are cracking up right and left.  But guess what?  It's not their fault.  According to the Associated Press, it's distracted, flawed, "texting instead of watching" human beings that are bashing and smashing into them right and left.

Actually, this isn't funny.  Recently they had the first case of a Google car causing injury to a person.  A car rear ended a Google car that decided to stop.  He hit it at 17 mph, and people in both cars got whiplash.

There have been 14 reported accidents so far, but it's always been everyone BUT the Google car who instigated it.

So I ask the question here - Is the invention a successful one?  Actually, yes! They haven't caused the accidents. It's you.  It's US.  We all need to just paying some gosh darn attention behind the wheel.  (I was gonna say something else).

Why doesn't Google invent something for all the OTHER cars to help us stay alert, like a silent signal that automatically sends a small shock to your hands so you drop your phone.
