Tampons have one job and included in that job is not falling apart while you're using it. One brand failed in that department and have now issued a recall for your safety, ladies.

That time of the month isn't the most fun and now if you use Kimberly-Clark products, it could get worse. WNYT is reporting that Kimberly-Clark has announced a voluntary recall of some of its U by Kotex Sleek Tampons. Apparently, some of the tampons were coming apart upon removal. In a few cases, some of those pieces were left in the body and women had to call medical attention.

If you own U by Kotex Sleek Tampons, Regular Absorbency that were made between October 7, 2016 and October 16, 2018 then you may be at risk. You can find the full list of lot numbers online.

If you have found this product in your house, immediately discontinue use and contact Kimberly-Clark's Consumer Service team at 1-888-255-3499 between 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday.
