I think most of us start thinking about those places that we love to drive to when the nice weather moves into the Albany area. Places to go and take a break out of your busy day, whether you’re alone or with the family. Some of these places may not be open yet, but I know it won’t be long before they are.

Gus’s is at 212 25th Street in Watervliet is open all year round, but in when we get the warm weather it’s always a treat to sit outside and enjoy their hot dogs and burgers, with the works.

It’s always a treat when Guptill's Coney Express opens for the season. In the beginning of ice cream season, if you like to roller skate, you can skate for a few hours and then head outside and enjoy some ice cream. Guptill’s is at 1085 Route 9 in Cohoes.

1) Jack’s Drive-Inn

Jack’s is just outside of Troy on Main Street in Wynantskill. They are already open.
