Wallie And Smoky Have Had It Bad But YOU Can Change All That – Steve Caporizzo’s Pet Connection
Pet Connection is brought to you by our proud sponsor, Curtis Lumber, providing building materials to contractors and homeowners since 1890. Tune in every Thursday at 7:20 a.m. to hear the stories of incredible (and adoptable) pets. Let's take a look at the pets featured.
WALLIE is approx. 1 year old, neutered male Shar-Pei/Yellow Lab mix, about 50 pounds. Wallie was a stray found starving on the streets (before picture). After several months he has gained a considerable amount of weight (after picture) and is now ready for a new home. He has the kind of face that always looks sad, but he really is a happy, outgoing guy. Wallie is up for anything--he is friendly with dogs, people, children, but he may play too enthusiastically for cats. He would be happiest where someone is home most of the time and he is a dog that drools (for those who are squeamish about that type of thing).
SMOKY is a 5 y/o male, Ausralian Kelpie mix. He resembles a black German Shepherd Dog. He is good with other dogs and lives with several of all sizes. No cats! Smoky is a people dog--he can be playful but settles quickly and likes to lie by your chair and is always looking to please his humans. He is very obedient and knows basic commands. He loves walks and jogs, so he would be perfect for an active household that wants a canine buddy. Because of his size, we would prefer that any children in the house be 8 years or older. He has not had the best of luck. His first adopter sent him back to CAPP because of a lifestyle change, so he is looking for his final loving home.
