Wrapping up another week, it's time to feature another great country song and video from the past with this week's edition of Flashback Friday. Today is Wade Hayes' 43rd birthday, so I'm breaking out one of his big hits from the 90's, the title cut to his second album "On A Good Night".

From the Album of the same name, "On A Good Night" was released in May of 1996 and peaked at #2 on the Billboard Country Charts. It would be Wade's second biggest hit behind his #1 debut smash and my theme song "Old Enough To Know Better".

The remainder of the 90's and 2000's were not as successful for Wade having only a few minor hits here and there. In 2003, he would for a duo with fiddler Mark McClurg called McHayes. In 2008, after taking a hiatus from the music business, he would serve as Randy Owen's guitar player on tour.

Recent times have not been very good to Wade as he was recently diagnosed with Colon cancer. He has since had surgery and is currently cancer free. So not only do I wish Wade a very Happy Birthday today, but would like to send prayers that the cancer never comes back.
