In a story that I saw on News 10 ABC, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, LuAnn Burgess from Voorheesville, was arraigned by a grand jury on numerous counts that include one count of vehicular manslaughter first degree, three counts of criminally negligent homicide and one count of driving while ability impaired. The accident happened on August 10, 2011, when Burgess’s car hit three women that were stopping to use the bathroom at St. Matthews Church in Voorheesville.

According to Albany County D.A. David Soares, “The Grand Jury’s decision was the final piece to the nearly year long investigation by this office into one of the most tragic and complex motor vehicle crashes in Albany County History.”

Our prayers go out to the families of Rosemarie Hume and Fran Pallozzi, both of Waterford and Carol Lancing of Green Island - The three women that died in the accident.
