When it comes to harmonizing as a group there are few that have ever done it as good as Little Big Town. They have put out some great “feel good” hits over the years too.Their biggest hit is still played on a regular basis at 1077 ‘GNA because it’s awesome and you like it. “Boondocks” is a song I bet a lot of country fans have on their Ipods today. This talented trio from Arkansas has been up here a few times with 1077 ‘GNA. They have played in our conference room, and at the Sean and Richie Golf Tournament which will be on June 18th this year at Stadium Golf Club in Schenectady.“Amen” was their first big single which showcased their country roots and amazing vocal harmonies. Now Edens Edge is back with an even better song that just makes you feel good when you hear it on GNA. The song is titled “Too Good To Be True”. Check it out here and let us know what you think.

The blockbuster movies will be coming out in rapid style now started with “The Avengers” and now “Battleship”. It will battle “The Dictator” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” for box office dollars this weekend. First stop is “The Dictator”, it actually opened Wednesday. I’m sure this is a attempt to get a jump start on “battleship”.

“What to Expect When You’re Expecting” This one has a pretty big cast.  It’s about five couples going through the experience of having a baby.  The pregnant ladies are Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, and Anna Kendrick. Chris Rock is in it as one of the experienced fathers in a “dudes group” that meets at the park and takes clueless new dads under their collective wing.  The rest of the men include Dennis Quaid and “Glee’s” Matthew Morrison.

And Finally Rhianna, Liam Neeson, Andrew Skaarsgard, Taylor Kitsch and Brooklyn Decker(HELLLLLOOOO) “Battleship”.

Former American Idol Kelly Clarkson is no stranger to country music. She has hit the top of the country charts twice. Once with Reba Mcentire on a duet of her hit “Because of You”, and the second time on a duet with Jason Aldean on the song “Don’t You Wanna Stay” which was written by 1077 ‘GNA Rising Star Andy Gibson who currently has a hit of his own with “Wanna Make You Love Me”.

Kelly is back again with one of her huge hits that she totally re-worked and did a great job of “Countrifying”.. if that’s a word. LOL If not, I just invented one. Check out her country version of “Mr. know It All.”

Joe Nichols is a great country singer and now he’s a dad too. One thing he’s never shied away from is a good party and he has relayed that message through a lot of his great songs that he will crank up for you at 1077 ‘GNA’s Countryfest 2012. I have picked up on a pattern with Joe’s music. Naked is good! LOLHis biggest hit is the fun and liquor injected “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off”.

Joe will be cranking out the party powered hits with Superstar headliner Eric Church on July 7th at the Times Union Center. They’ll be joined on the big stage as well by Thompson Square and Josh Thompson too. Get your tickets here!

Someone is going to feel like a rock star for sure tomorrow afternoon at 5pm!Kenny Chesney, Tim Mcgraw and Jake Owen are selling out NFL stadiums all over America on the Brothers of the Sun tour. That’s understandable when you have two of the country music world’s biggest franchises on one ticket. Jake Owen is also tearing up the charts these days with back to back #1 hits. His first was “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and the most recent was “Alone With You”.

There are few stars as big as Johnny Depp. So anytime he has a movie set to be released it’s pretty big news. I am too young to remember the original “Dark Shadows” I had very little interest in the remake back in 1991. I sadly admit you add Johnny Depp and Tim Burton and my interest is peaked.

Johnny Depp will play a vampire named Barnabas Collins.  He was human until a jealous witch cursed him, and buried him alive for 200 years.

David Nail is a bright new talent in Nashville and already has charted a #1 hit with “Let It Rain”.He has accomplished a lot in a short time and has played a GNA Countryfest too. CMT acutally did a fun series with him trying out for the St. Louis Cardinals. Recently we got treated to David Nail’s musical talents when he play a show at The Glens Falls Civic Center on April 19 opening up for Billy Currington.

David is proving to fans and critics alike that he is a true player in country music with the release of a powerful new song “The Sound of A Million Dreams.” Give it a listen here and let us know what you think.

Growing up in my house two things were certain, I was going to get in trouble for something and there was always Coca-Cola in the fridge. So I am happy to wish a happy birthday to what is maybe the world’s most recognized brand COKE.

Coca-Cola was founded way back in 1886 on this date by a man named Dr. John Pemberton in Georgia.  So in honor of this super soft drink here is the “Animated History of Coca-Cola”.

At the end of every semester the students of the University of Texas stage a fake battle with foam swords. Sounds fun but these dummies stand on opposite sides of a busy road wait for a red light and battle in the street. Freshman Nick Engmann was the first in the street and he gets creamed by a bus. He only suffers minor injuries so we can laugh at him.

First here’s the latest Trailer for “The Amazing Spider-Man” which hits theaters on July 3rd. This trailer shows a little more of the Lizard and some more of Spider-Man in action.

This is the first real trailer for “The Expendables 2″. Any fan of the action, shoot em up movie genre has to be excited for this one.

Miranda Lambert has been on a role the last 3 years. She just added another ACM Female Vocalist of The Year award to her list of accomplishments as well.Her softer side came out again musically with her recent hit “Over You”. It’s a song about coping with the loss of the one you love. Her fans are crazy about this song and have made it easily one of the most requested songs we play on 1077 ‘GNA. The fact that she knocked it out of the park as the headliner of GNA’s Countryfest 2011 probably helped her too.

If she keeps up he current pace it looks like she will jump over Rascal Flatts and have the new #1 song next week. Good luck Miranda.
