Vacations are usually a good thing. They give you a break from that daily grind. No matter how much you might like your job, it’s always good to take some time for you, and hopefully get some rest. I like to take at least one week of my vacation time, and do very little job related stuff, although, this might have combined a little work with pleasure.

Linda and I decided to travel a little bit, but not go too far away. We headed north, to the Adirondack Mountains. I know there are some people that will look at the pictures and say that it’s not a big deal, because they live near this spot. But for a couple of people from Colonie, it was a journey, and didn’t take too long to get there.

Our first stop was Lake George. I’ve been there many times, but it’s always nice to not have to hurry home. If you decide to go there, you don’t have to spend a lot of money. Choose your adventures carefully.

There was nothing like waking up and looking outside and seeing the mountains in the distance. We took a lot of pictures from Prospect Mountain: Over two-thousand feet to the summit with a fantastic view. This only costs about Ten dollars a car load, so load everyone into your car and bring them to the top.

There are many place to eat and sleep, and a lot of things to do in the village. Besides being a day trip, it’s also a great place to spend a night or two.
