Technically he is not old enough to be President, but that didn't stop William J. Connolly of Greenville from becoming a write-in candidate.

Talk about having some serious initiative! I think running for President, while in high school, would qualify, right?  That is just what William is doing. Throwing his hat in the ring to become leader of the free world, according to nyup.com.

Now, it is in the US Constitution that you must be at least 35 years old to be President. But apparently that cannot stop you from running! According to nyup.com, William went through the difficult process of becoming a write-in candidate. There is a lot of paperwork to fill out, plus you need to name a candidate for Vice President; William is running with one of his good friends.

We know William can't be President, but I do like what he said to NYUp: "I would like to work on uniting our country." Maybe our career politicians could learn a little from William.
