No equipment required to dig into the caverns located in Schoharie County. Primarily limestone, geologists believe that the cave formed several millions years ago.  They also have a pretty slick museum of mining and geology.

A little education does us good! Built by the French in the 18th century it played a pivotal role in the Revolutionary War. Named one of the first National Historic Landmarks in 1960 with an accredited museum. (Other near by forts: Old Fort Niagra and Historic Fort Ontario.)

With MMA now legalized in New York State, lets go back to the beginning of the fighting sport wit the Boxing Hall of Fame. See where it all began and where the legends live forever. Located in Canastota  the International Boxing Hall of Fame is one of two recognized hall of fames.

Cooperstown is an old stompin' grounds for me and most baseball fans. Just a hop, skip and a jump away. Including everything on the sport you could possibly want with different games and events happening almost daily during the right weather months.

So, do you really like Jell-O? I mean, like, REALLY like it? Because there is a museum dedicated to everything Jell-O related. Who knew?! Learn the history of your favorite gelatin and even visit the Jell-O gift shop, located in LeRoy, NY.
