Update - September 14, 2013 at 2:50 p.m.

The man that died has now been identified. He is 44-year-old Ronald Czajkowski from Rensselaer. In the story from News10 ABC, it's believed that Czajkowski is a beginner climber. It's possible that he may have tied a knot in one of the ropes incorrectly.

Emergency crews were called to The John Boyd Thacher Park, about a man that was found near The Indian Ladder Trail.

It’s believed that he was rock climbing, which is not allowed at the park. This happened on Friday, September 13, 2013.

In a story that I saw on CBS 6 Albany, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple told members of Albany area media that he was wearing a climbing harness. The body was found near one of the waterfalls. Authorities think that he fell about 200 hundred feet, but still aren’t sure if the man’s death was a a result of the fall.
