The other day I was scrolling through the interwebs and came across a slideshow published by The TImes Union stating that the University At Albany was named one of the country's most beautiful college campuses.

I wasn't sure who exactly made the list so I set out to find it online. I was not successful but I DID find a recent listing by US News and World Report ranking colleges and they put the University At Albany at 146 out of 1814 in the nation. UAlbany ranked 74th if you limit the list to public schools.

In the review they wrote, "The University at Albany, which is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is an institution that offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and about 120 master's programs, including those in the schools of education and business. Many of UAlbany's graduate programs are highly ranked, including criminal justice, social work and specialties offered in the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy."

Now see anyone can LOOK good and I am sure that UAlbany loves that it made a list of beautiful campuses but when push comes to shove I'd be pretty proud to be ranked in the top 15 percent of schools in the nation overall.

Kudos to the University At Albany.
