UAlbany Student Accused Of Making Bomb Threat

Last month, there was a bomb threat made on the social media app Yik Yak which was aimed at one of the buildings on the Shenedehowa campus.

Now there’s been another one. This time, it was targeted at UAlbany. It was a threat to “blow up the school”.

A member of the campus community made a call to the university police about the threat. They teamed up with the Information Technology Services of the university and Yik Yak to investigate the threat. After investigating, it was discovered that the threat was allegedly made by an unnamed student from UAlbany.

According to the story from the Times Union, that student was tracked down and arrested. The student is facing felony charges.
