We have known them both as great places to visit, and now the word is spreading across the country.

Yes, the charm of Saratoga Springs and Woodstock is well known locally, but now word seems to be getting out to the masses, CheapTickets.com recently named their '30 Up and Coming Destinations You Need to Visit Now'  and Saratoga and Woodstock both made the list.

So what did Cheap Tickets have to say about our 2 entries on the list? Here is how the website describes Saratoga Springs:

Saratoga Springs is home to the Saratoga Race Course, where visitors can bet on the horses. If arts and culture is more your speed, then definitely visit the National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame. During the summer, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center hosts the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York City Ballet.

As far as Woodstock, the website does incorrectly say it was home of the Woodstock Festival (It actually took place in Bethel) but goes on to say call Woodstock '...a cultural mecca with hole-in-the-wall art galleries, antique stores, and book shops lining the appropriately named Tinker Street downtown.'

These weren't he only cities to make it in the Northeast: Burlington, Vermont and Portland, Maine both made the list - 2 other cites that are awesome to visit. I can vouch for their awesomeness as I lived in Portland for 8 years and visited Burlington several times. But amazing little cities...
