I always said to my Mom, "C'mon Maaaa, you don't have to worry about me, it's not like we live in New York City!" Well, it turns out, I was wrong. Sorry, Mom.

Albany has been ranked one of the most dangerous cities in New York State by ValuePenguin.

The company analyzed 210 places with over 5,000 in population within their study. Their data was collected from the 2014 FBI crime statistics by city, which included property crimes like burglary, larceny and motor vehicle theft and arson, as well as violen crimes from all law enforcement agencies.

There is a lot of math and reasoning behind their calculations and to see the full report on how Albany was officially ranked, you can visit below.

Oh and a shout out to my little town of Waterford for ranking just outside the 25 of the "safest" portion of the results!
