An annual Albany area overnight music festival known as Jah Fest, lead to the arrest of a Troy teen. In a story from CBS 6, officers from the Coeymans Police Department got several calls about 19-year-old Brendan Ryder from Troy, after he allegedly hit a woman in the face with a beer can, and allegedly broke into some of the cars parked at the fest. This happened at about 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2013.

After a search for Ryder was unsuccessful, the New York State Police helicopter and the Albany County Sheriff's Canine Unit were called to help look into a nearby wooded area. Ryder was eventually found hiding at his mother’s apartment in The Oakbrook Manor Apartments in Ravena.

Ryder is being held at Albany County Jail, and has charges including two counts of felony assault.
