Troy Police Investigating Vandalism To Statue

Some people might say something like “this is why we can’t have nice things”.

But in all seriousness, this kind of stuff should not happen.

Throughout the city of Troy, Statues of Uncle Sam have been set up, and now another statue has been vandalized. In a story from News 10 ABC, this is the fourth statue to be attacked over the last year. This time, it was at Congress Street and Fifth Avenue. Over the weekend, someone has removed the head of the statue. It was found not far from the statue.

Troy Police will be looking at surveillance videos from some of the local businesses in that area that have cameras set up, hoping that they can see who did this. Troy Police are also asking for the public’s help, and to give them a call at 518- 270-4411 if they have any information about this incident.
