Troy Man Goes To Jail For Using A Car As A Weapon

An argument that happened in October, 2011, started with two men having words but it didn’t end there.

One of the men involved with the dispute, 21 Year Old  Dalon Blunt, used his car as a weapon, by backing the car up, and hitting the other man. He saw the man on Burden Avenue in Troy, pulled over, and Blunt ended up arguing with the man.

In a story that I read in The Times Union, Blunt was sentenced to more than five years in jail, on Thursday, August 16, 2012. In addition to hitting the man with Blunt’s car, the victim ended up with broken ribs and a broken leg. The indictment also made mention of Blunt also drove over the man a second time, hit him with a metal chair and punched him in the face.

Besides being charged of third degree criminal possession of a weapon (the car), he was charged with other charges including attempted second degree murder. You have to wonder what this guy was thinking.
