He was accused of shoplifting at the Brunswick Walmart. When the trooper was inside the store talking to Joseph Rubinski about a shoplifting incident, Rubinski allegedly shoved the trooper and ran out of the store.

A foot chase began through the parking lot, but didn’t last long. Rubinski then ran out of the parking lot and into a nearby field that was covered in snow. The snow was a little too deep for Rubinski to keep running. The trooper caught up to him and then took him into custody.

According to the story from News 10 ABC, it was discovered that this was not Rubinski’s first run in with the law. He allegedly had a few other warrants from the Troy Police Department. Because of those warrants, he was turned over to the Troy Police Department after his arrangement in Brunswick Town Court.
