Well what do you know, it's Friday again. Time to once again go back in the time machine and break out another great country song and video from the past with another edition of Flashback Friday.

This week we go back to back 15 years for Trace Adkins very first single "There's A Girl In Texas".

This was Trace's first single from his debut album "Dreamin' Out Loud". The song was co-written by Trace and peaked at #20 on the Billboard Country Charts in the Spring of 1996. A few months later WGNA listeners would get to know him better when he took the stage at Countryfest '96 with Headliners Brooks & Dunn.

Trace would follow this song up with four straight Top 5 tunes, "Every Light In The House" (#3) , "This Aint No Thinkin' Thing (#1), " I Left Something Turned On At Home" (#2) and "The Rest Of Mine" (#4). The latter coming from his second album "Big Time".

Trace of course just released his tenth album of all new material(He has 3 Greatest Hits albums as well) called "Proud To Be Here" featuring his latest single "Just Fishin'".

Hope you enjoyed this weeks musical memory and be sure to check back every week as I break out some great songs from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's!
