I saw Brother Lou's post about our upcoming Chowderfest at the Saratoga City Center.  Hey, I don't know about you, but you don't have to twist my arm to go there.  Here are my top 5 things I love about chowderfest

5. It's becoming an annual tradition.  Say hallelujah!  (Actually, I prefer sayin' CHOWDAAAAH more than hallelujah)

4.Clams remind me of Long Island.  Long Island reminds me of my youth (no wise cracks, Sean and Bethany)... walking on the beach as a kid, stomping on the little holes in the sand, and watching clams spit.  Nothing like it

3. It's not wimpy like a bowl of broth. Gee, let's take a bowl of hot water, throw a carrot in it, and charge you $5.00.  That's good eatin', huh?

2. I love giving a bowl of chowdaaaaaaah  the spoon test.  Stick it right in the middle of the bowl and see if it stands up straight.  Ahhhhh - just like mama used to make.

1. And the number one think I love about Chowder?

"It's all about that cream, 'bout that cream, no skim milk" (everybody sing along!!!)

Are you going?  Here's all the pertinent info.
