Top 5 Lonestar Songs — Scott’s Favorites [VIDEOS]
Lonestar is back with original lead singer Richie McDonald and they are playing Upstate Concert Hall tonight for a big reunion show. I’ve been a fan of these guys since day one back in the 90’s and I am glad they are back. So many great songs and we all have our favorites and here are a few of mine!
1. No News
Lonestar’s very first #1 single. I still love cranking this one up in my car. Working for GNA, I always change the lyric “On the road with Pearl Jam” to “We don’t play Pearl Jam”. Thank you Lou Roberts for that.
2. Lonely Grill
The title cut to Lonestar’s third album. It was never released as a single but it tells such a great story for anyone who has gone through a bad breakup.
3. Saturday Night
This was actually the first single from the Lonely Grill album that didn’t chart well, the follow up “Amazed” would get all the attention. Who doesn’t like to have a little fun on Saturday night???
4. My Front Porch Lookin’ In
Even though I can’t exactly relate to the song I can’t help but sing along to this ultra catchy tune. Makes me hope one day I will have all those things!
One of the greatest country love songs of all time and Lonestar’s biggest hit! You can guarantee you will hear this one tonight!
It’s going to be a great night tonight at the Upstate Concert Hall. Lonestar along with my good friends Skeeter Creek and my other good friends the Back 40 Band. Tickets will be $17 bucks at the door. Hope to see you there!
