Tony Stewart Back To Racing!

Tony Stewart is BACK!

That’s right, at Richmond this weekend the Tony Stewart farewell season will finally begin.

It was January when Stewart fractured his back in an ATV accident.  That lead to surgery which forced Tony to sit the first 8 races this season.  A season that was to be his last.

This week, doctors cleared Stewart to race and he is ready to go! The clearance comes a little earlier than most expected.  As a precaution, Stewart will take it easy.  Plans are already set for Ty Dillon, who has been filling in for Stewart in other races, to split the Talladega race.  Stewart will start and Dillon will take over at some point to give him a rest.

Stewart received a waiver from NASCAR allowing him eligibility in the NASCAR Chase even though he has not himself been in a race this year.

We will see how it turns out this week!  I like a good story line, so I am pulling for a Smoke win!
