I don't know about you, but Tom Hanks has always been one of my favorite actors of all time.  From "Big" To "Captain Phillips" and everything in between, Hanks can do it all. But I found this especially fascinating, and apparently so do a lot of people

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the actual audition tape for Tom.  He was trying out for Forrest Gump back in the early 90's. Watch this, and tell me if you notice anything unusual.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? There's no accent goin' on here.  He got the part WITHOUT the signature accent that everyone mimics to this day?  That's amazing to me!

It's also amazing how young he is here!
