Toll Gate Ice Cream Say’s Thank You to Capital Region With Free Ice Cream On Saturday

Toll Gate Ice Cream is thanking the Capital Region for their support while owner Rob Zautnes remains hospitalized. 

Toll Gate Ice Cream has been a staple in the Capital Region since 1959.  It’s a small family owned business run by Rob Zautner.  Rob’s father ran it before him and his grandfather before that!  So, when word got out that Rob was sick and the restaurant had to close, the community came together via a Go Fund Me page to support him and his family.  Due to his illness, the restaurant remained closed.

To thank the community for their support and donations, Toll Gate Ice Cream will be giving away free ice cream cones and ice cream dishes on Saturday January 28^th, noon until 4.  They will also be selling half gallon ice cream for you to take home.

Rob remains in critical condition.  The Go Fund Me page has raised almost $28,000 for Rob to cover his medical bills.  That is a great show of support Capital Region!!
