Baseball and More – Levack Rant [Online Exclusive]

Every once in a very great while we skip out trip to the Couch On Air. OMG I just rhymed I am spending WAY too much time with Richie. Okay back to the "View From The Couch".

Today I will clear my mind right here! How about them Phillies?! This week has been a show down between the top teams in the American and National leagues. The Yankees and Red Sox are the Class of the A.L. and the Phillies and Brewers are the best in the senior circuit. So the fact that two of those teams are going for sweeps tonight is pretty interesting.

First is the match up of first place teams while The Yankees host the Brewers. Clearly the Yankees have the Brewers number here taking the first two games and preparing to break out the brooms today when big CC takes the mound for the Bombers.

Then the Phillies continue to dominate the Red Sox also looking for the sweep today. With yet another pitchers duel with John Lester for the Sox versus the fourth ace for the Phillies Cole Hamels. Lester is the better of the two here but Hamels is a big game pitcher and will be bringing his A game.

My bet is two of these 4 teams will be in the World Series. I'm hoping Yankees/Phillies but I will settle for Yankees/Brewers.

Okay Red Sox fans let's go. Let's hear about our head to head record and ignore the FACT you are two and a half back in the AL East
