Time To Write A Tune About A Town – Your Town Thursday

Recently the bar has been raised for this little segment that we do on the Sean and Richie show called Your Town Thursday.  Greenville residents sent loads of  information to me, and so many people “liked” and responded to the article that I was flabbergasted.  No pressure here, but I’m just sayin’….

Here’s your chance to have a custom written song  for your town.  It will be played on the show, of course, and then immortalized on the WGNA website for years to come.   Please leave your nominations in the comment section.  We will pick a town this week give you some time to compile the information.  The song will air NEXT Thursday, Feb 21st.

Here’s a little questionnaire that you can fill out

  Name of the Town (duhh)______________________________

  What it’s best known for?_______________________________

Well known attractions or businesses _______________________________________________________________

Funny quirks (the red light in the middle of town hasn’t worked in 10 years etc)______________________________________________________

Quick historical facts (don’t get all  “Wikipedia” on me- just a few bullet points will do)______________________________________________________

You can copy and paste this into an email and send to, or just put the answers in the comment section!   The song will air on Thursday’s Sean and Richie Show, typically between 8:45-8:50am.  It will also be on this website on one of my blogs.

And if you have photos to go with your facts, by all means send them to the same email.   Thanks!!!
