(UPDATE at 6:30 a.m.) We have some new information from our friends at WNYT - They will keep the Loads of Hope at the Cobleskill Walmart for a few more days. it will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In the aftermath of the floods caused by Irene it's easy to forget some of the things we do everyday and take for granted. Like putting on clean clothes and going about our daily tasks. Imagine if you had to go to work in dirty clothes. I know the people of this area and I know you would overcome no matter what but in times like these anything that could help us feel "normal" is needed.

Now think of what you could do to help people. I'm saying what particular skill or ability do you have that could help someone in trouble? Tide and Duracell asked themselves the same question and came up with "Tide Loads of Hope" and "Duracell Power Relief". These are AWESOME programs where they bring in a mobile laundromat to disaster area's and let people wash their clothes for free. Duracell has what they call a comfortable safe haven where you can get relief kits and recharge batteries. Just a few more things to help people get back to "normalcy".

Tide Loads of Hope and Duracell Power Relief will be the Walmart in Cobleskill 138 Merchant Place TODAY. Duracell Power Relief Program will also be there! Here's a look at what you can expect.
