Three Arrested In Virginia Tied To Rensselaer County Homicides
Three people have been arrested in Virginia tied to this weeks two homicides in Rensselaer County.
In a press conference Thursday afternoon, officials announced that three men, Luis A. Monge Guevara of Clifton Park; Magdalono Perez-Calixto of Latham; and Solomon Najera Hernandez of Mexico are in custody in Virginia facing first degree murder charges in the deaths of Javier Gomes and Cristian Gonzalez Hernandez. Both murders happened in Rensselaer County, NY this week.
Gomez was found in the apartment he shared with Hernandez in troy, while Hernandez was found near a creek in Cropseyville.
The investigation has led authorities to search multiple locations in Latham, including rooms at the Quality Inn as well as property at the Rosewood Gardens Apartments.
Many questions surround this investigation. Two key things we still don’t know is the motive for the killings and how police knew to look in Virginia.
