You can see Carrie Underwood this weekend.  She’s going to be on the CBS show, “Blue Bloods” – you know the cop show starring Tom Selleck?  Carrie will be performing “It Had To Be You,” the duet she recently recorded with Tony Bennett for his “Duets 2” album.  Bennett and Underwood will be playing themselves on the show at a fundraiser Selleck’s character is attending.  For those Tony Bennett and Carrie Underwood fans out there, the “Duets 2” album is due in stores September 22nd

Alan Jackson is in the news.  He’s just finished up with his latest album.  A release date and title of that album hasn’t been released yet.

We might see Tim McGraw in another upcoming movie.  According to CMT, he could land himself a spot in the 1976 Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand movie, “A Star Is Born.”  Other stars rumored to be asked to take part in the movie were Beyonce and Leonardo DiCaprio, but one is pregnant and the other turned the role down – I’ll let you figure out who did what.

If you love Thomspon Square like I do,  you’ll be curious to know they will be celebrity guests on this year’s Santa Train – the annual train that brings Christmas gifts to children and communities in Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  The train will make 14 stops this year.
